In the shell of a derelict pub with a dark history in the heart of Leith, Edinburgh, ‘The Lioness of Leith’ opened as a bar/bistro in December 2013.
‘Lioness Burgers’ was born in early February 2018 out of the passion to deliver a real ‘gourmet’ burger menu to the locals of Leith.
WHY ARE WE GOURMET?
Our beef is sourced from the award winning local butcher, Findlay’s of Portobello.
We ONLY use entirely free-range, slow grown, herb fed chicken.
Our artisan buns are locally sourced and baked.
We have a real passion to cater for our vegetarian and vegan diners.
To compliment our menu we offer premium local and international drinks. With our inventive and evolving cocktails list, award winning teas and coffee, you can be sure of quality, great taste and local sourcing whenever possible.
Our main menu is available all day Monday – Friday, and from 12.30pm at weekends. Freshly made buttermilk waffles are served from 10am with various delicious sweet and savoury toppings.
We won Ion Magazine’s Leith’s Best Bar in September 2014 and strive to be a favourite for locals and visitors alike.
A ramp is available on request for wheelchair access.
